Biography

Leila Haddad trained in environmental science and agricultural economics at Université Mohammed V in Rabat and worked with the International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas before joining the Institute in 2024. Her research documents how smallholder farmers adjust cropping patterns as water availability shifts.

She leads fieldwork for a comparative study of irrigation-governance arrangements across three river basins and contributes cost estimates on adaptation measures to the Institute's joint climate-and-economics working group.
