Director, Economics & Development Programme
Ingrid Solberg Halvorsen spent close to a decade at Statistics Norway, latterly leading its linked employer–employee data programme, before joining the Institute in 2021. She holds a doctorate in economics from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH) in Bergen; her published work compares labour-market flexibility and sectoral productivity across the Nordic economies using administrative registers and structured firm surveys.
She now oversees the design of the economics programme's market-sizing and sector studies and is accountable for methodological consistency across that programme. Every draft in the economics and market-analysis programme passes her review for statistical rigour before publication, and she represents the Institute in its standing dialogue with national statistical offices on data-sharing and disclosure.
